Padel is doubles, on an enclosed court about a third the size of a tennis court. Four players, one booking, nothing else to organise.
The walls are in play
Glass at both ends, mesh down the sides. The ball comes back off them, so rallies keep going and one missed shot does not end the point.
The serve is underarm
You serve underarm, below the waist. There is no technique to master before you can play properly against someone.
Bring almost nothing
A solid stringless racket and a softer ball. Most clubs rent rackets and sell balls at the desk — wear trainers you can move in.

Every open match carries the level range its host wants to play at. You see who you are joining before you commit, and they see you.
A seat, not a court
Joining holds your share of the price, not the whole booking. If the match never fills, the hold goes with it.
It closes itself
The last seat taken confirms the match for everyone in it — the court, the hour, and who you are playing with.

Levels that mean something
A level from 0 to 7 that moves with every result, shown with a confidence band so a new player is never presented as a certainty.

What does it cost?
The club sets the court price, and it moves with the hour — a peak evening costs more than a weekday morning. You see the exact price of the slot before you book it, with Padli’s service fee shown separately rather than buried in the total.
What if I do not have four players?
Book the court anyway and invite whoever you have. Open the remaining seats and players at a similar level can take them, or join a match somebody else has opened.
Can one person pay for everything?
Yes. Whoever books can cover the whole court, or ask each player for their own seat — it is a choice on the booking, not a setting buried somewhere.
How does paying work?
By card in the app, or from credit you have topped up at the club. Everyone can pay for their own seat, or one person can cover the whole court — the bill splits by seat, not by argument.
What if someone never pays their seat?
A booking settles two hours after the match ends, and anything still unpaid falls to whoever made it. The club is never left chasing four people, and you always know before you invite.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, within the club’s own cancellation window. Each club sets its terms, and the refund you would receive is shown to you before you confirm the cancellation — never after.
I have never played. Is that a problem?
No. Levels start at 0, and every open match carries the level range its host is looking for — so you can find a court with people who are learning too.
Do I need a password?
No. You sign in with your phone number or email and a one-time code, or with Google or Apple. There is no password on a player account at all.
